I'm not talking about the political kind of tea party, so don't worry. :) Chloe got this tea set from my parents for Christmas this past year. She absolutely loves it! She plays with it often, but usually with water, and imaginary people. (that sounds kind of sad, now that i think about it!) She's been asking to have tea, and food, and real people. So, on one of our recent snow days, she got her wish. The boys must have been feeling a bit of cabin fever, or they just really love their little sister! Either way, they made Chloe's day!

Maybe you shouldn't have said that out loud.
A few weeks ago I went to preschool with Chloe for Muffins with Mom. I asked her to help me choose which muffin to get, and she chose chocolate. I kind of wanted the banana nut, but since I asked her, I chose chocolate. I thought she would help me eat it, but of course she didn't. She ate most of hers, and then was ready to go play with her friends. So, I was sitting there nibbling on the muffin when another mom sits down with her banana nut muffin. She looks at mine and says, "Mmmm chocolate. I started to get that, but since I just came from the gym I thought I would get this one." I don't remember her exact words, but she said something else about the chocolate muffin being worse for you than the banana nut. Well... thanks.
I decided to just smile and enjoy my muffin.

49 states with snow
I saw an article last week, or this week, (who really knows anymore), about all but one state having snow. It's pretty cool. This winter has been so different then normal, and apparently we're not the only ones.

This is a picture of our last little pile of snow, left over from this snow...way back in January! The boys were attempting to make a snow fort/igloo. They never got it finished, but thanks to a thick layer of ice, it stuck around much longer than usual. I think it finally melted a couple of days ago, just before our most recent snow. One of the boys decided to stomp on it and help it go, otherwise I think it would still be around now. I was really surprised how long it lasted, and especially with all the rain we've had lately. So, now it's gone, but the ground is dusted, yet again, with fresh snow.

A&B
This boy left the dishwasher open.

This boy decided to dance in the kitchen. Backwards. While singing a song that says something about a fire on the dance floor.

And this is what happened when boy B fell on the door of the dishwasher(while trying to do the moonwalk) that boy A left open.
That can't be good. But on a completely unrelated subject...
this boy made the middle school soccer team!!
*it wouldn't be me if it wasn't random*

Not Me Monday!
I've never been part of a blog carnival before, but I'm giving it a try. This one was started by MckMama. Join in if you want, and share all the things you didn't do this week!
I did not let my kids eat a dinner of mostly chips one night last week. I also didn't eat the same thing myself. I would never do that.
I did not go workout on Sat. just so I could eat cake that night!
I did not fix my kids a warm breakfast two days in a row just so they wouldn't eat all of my honey nut cheerios.
I would never be in a bad mood just because I didn't get my cheerios!
I do not wait until my kids go to school to play guitar hero, so I don't have to share. I definitely wouldn't waste my time playing video games when I could be cleaning the house!
I did not do a whole post about how to put toilet paper on the holder because no one else in my house knows how to do it. I'm just not that silly.

Toilet paper response
So, I'm glad you guys liked my toilet paper post. Unfortunately these are the things I think about when I can't sleep at night. Go figure.
Strangely, it hadn't occurred to me that I was posting about bathroom stuff. (i know) Chuck, I agree with you that I would have thought Lance would be the one to post about bathroom activities, but somehow I think it would have been a little less appropriate!! :)
Carrie brought up a valid, yet debatable, point that the toilet paper was on backwards, or upside down, or whatever. I didn't actually plan which way I put it on, but this is the way I used to say I preferred when I had to time to think about that. These days I just want someone to actually put it on there. I'll take either direction!
Dad, I've tried your idea before, and all that causes me is more work, unfortunately! I have actually intentionally left the toilet paper off just to see if anyone would put it on. No one did. Apparently I'm the only one that cares about it.
Oh well, I guess this is my lot in life. (totally kidding/being dramatic, just in case you thought i was serious. not sure why anyone would take me seriously.)
Oh, and feel free to use this for those in your life that need a little help! Good luck. I don't think it's going to help me at all.
