Middle school rings

Avery recently came home with an order form for school rings. In the sixth grade. I thought it was pretty crazy, but I figured it was the same everywhere, until I talked to my sister. She couldn't believe it either, and her kids are not offered class rings. Why in the world do you need a class ring in the sixth grade?! Shouldn't they have something to look forward to in high school? I can't even image Avery wearing a ring, and I definitely can't image him actually keeping up with it. Needless to say, he did not get one. Has anyone else ever heard of school rings in middle school?

Silly bandz

I must be the last person on the planet to buy these goofy things. I only heard about these back at Christmas time, when one of my nephews had some. It doesn't surprise me that I'm not up on the lastest trends. However, it does surprise me these are so popular. Is it just me or does it seem like these came out of nowhere?! I guess I'm too old to get it. Everyone likes them, from preschool to high school. Hmmm...go figure.

Go Cougars!

I promise Avery is under that hair somewhere! He got to wear his soccer jersey to school today. He didn't mind me taking his picture, but he wouldn't smile. I tried a couple of things, but ultimately, I knew what I had to do to make him smile. I let out a big burp! (you thought i was going to say something else, didn't you?!) It did the trick. I got my picture, and he got a laugh early in the morning.

Something's not quite right!

This wasn't today. It was actually a couple of weeks ago. I was getting myself a couple of cookies and a glass of milk. As you can see I didn't exactly get it right. My brain is just fried by the end of the day.
Maybe it was the universe telling me not to have cookies. Or not. I had them anyway. :)

Woozy woman

You have got to go watch this video from AFV this past Sunday. It is hysterical! It's one of the funniest I've ever seen. I seriously could watch it over and over.

the link should take you to AFV's website, not the actual video. it should play on it's on shortly, or you could try to search for 'woozy woman.' i couldn't figure out how to put the video on here, or link directly to it. let me know if it doesn't work.

What a wonderful weekend!!

I love that I have at least one child that loves to sleep late. I don't know what's wrong with the other two!! (i love sleepy faces!)

Brady has been asking to wear shorts since it started getting cold and I told him that he had to start wearing jeans. He was so excited that it was warm enough this weekend!! (at this point, he asked me if i was just going to take random pictures of him all weekend!!)

It was so beautiful on Saturday. Too beautiful to stay indoors, so we headed to the park. First we went on a hike, and then we played at the park. This was definitely the highlight for all of us, but especially Chloe. She's been asking to go to the park since Brady started asking if he could wear shorts!

You might notice that Avery is missing from all the pictures. He was in Gatlinburg with the youth group. WinterFest was this weekend, and he had a blast! He came back all fired up, and could hardly eat dinner last night because he was talking so much!
We all had a wonderful weekend. It was much needed too! The cabin fever is gone for now, and we're looking forward to spring, whenever it gets here!

Brady...in action!

I asked Brady to make his 'cool' face.

cannonball

his impression of a ballerina

look at his face

the ball actually hit him in the mouth in this one

Brady wants you to know that he caught this ball!
The End.
