School's out!!

In celebration of the end of the school year, I'm sharing with you a strange picture. This is what's left of Avery's agenda. He ripped the rest of it up, and did as much damage to it as possible. I think that's all he's been doing at school this week. :)
Now I just have to throw this away when he's not looking, or he's going to try to keep it! (i have no idea why he wants to keep it. he just does because that's Avery!)

I also wanted to share this picture of the boys when they got home yesterday. This was their first look at Chloe's new do. They weren't expecting it to be so short. I love the look on their faces!

Chloe's big hair cut!!

I figured I would put the pictures first since that's what you all would look at first anyway! :) Today is Chloe's fifth birthday, and she has been asking me, for a couple of years now, for a hair cut. Not just any hair cut either. She wanted short hair, and as you can see, she finally got it. I'm still in shock, but I love it! I thought I would be more emotional, but she's so happy, that I just can't be sad. That will come in another 20 years probably!! I told her just a few days ago that we could go and get it cut on her birthday, so she's been anxiously awaiting today. We got up and did her nails, something else she wanted done today. She's so girly! Anyway, she had absolutely no hesitation about having short hair. She actually told me just this morning that she wanted it at her chin, instead of her shoulders. That was a bit of a shock, but I think it fits her really well.
I talked to her about Locks of Love when she started asking to get her hair cut, and she was very excited about donating her hair. She definitely had plenty to donate!
I got my hair trimmed as well, and while I did, the lady who does nails asked if she wanted Hello Kitty on her nails! She really got pampered today! I thought that was so sweet, and Chloe loved it.
It's been a wonderful day so far, and it can only get better with Chick-fil-a (Chloe's pick for supper) and church tonight.
Happy Birthday baby girl! I love you so much, and hope you're having a wonderful day!!

BIG changes are happening around here!

This is Avery last night before getting his hair cut. We weren't planning on going last night, but we were talking about how the boys need to get a summer cut. I was expecting a fight, but instead Avery said, "I want my hair short." Keith and I both almost passed out. And then we took him immediately to get his hair cut. Thankfully the lady that always cuts their hair was working, so it's like it was meant to be!! Avery was a little hesitant, just about going back to school looking so different, but he ended up getting it cut short. He loves it, and so do we!! Yipee! I wasn't sure this day would ever come, and I know all of you are going to be shocked as well.

Here are the after pictures!! Look you can see his ears and everything!!

The only thing about Avery's new cut I'm not sure about is how much older he looks. :)
Brady also got his hair cut, and it's pretty drastic, but he was not as happy about it. That's putting it mildly. He was very unhappy, but he'll come around. Maybe I'll get some pictures of him soon. He might actually be smiling in them too!

There are other changes coming around here. This change was planned. It's happening tomorrow. You'll have to come back tomorrow to see what it is! Ok, I'll give you a hint. Someone turns 5 tomorrow, and is finally getting what she's wanted for a long time.

Is this funny to you guys, or am I just really tired?!

I was cutting coupons tonight and came across this. It just made me giggle. Look at the people and what they're doing! They look totally natural, don't they?!! Then I read the top part where it says, "Every Body Chafes." That's when I nearly lost it. I don't know why this is so funny to me, but it is. I think it means I really need to go to bed. :)

The most amazing sunset I've ever seen!

Except for the tiny fact that I didn't actually see it! I was at the skating rink with Avery last night (not skating, just watching), and Keith was able to get this beautiful sunset. I just had to add it. He said that it just kept getting better and better. He got some other shots before these, and they were pretty cool, but nothing compared to these. Oh, and it was raining still, so he couldn't really go out to take a picture, but he was able to kind of hang out the back door enough to get it. Anyway, isn't this color amazing?! I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

Friday Favorites

My favorite this week has got to be sunsets. I never get tired of a beautiful sunset. I wish I had my camera Tuesday night at Brady's baseball game, because the sunset was amazing! Here are a few that I did get.

Action shots: part two

Here are a few action shots of the boys, all three, playing wall ball. Somehow I had never heard of wall ball until last year. Probably because it involves throwing the ball at each other if you miss catching it. It doesn't seem like my kind of game. Anyway, the boys love it. Shocker, I know. They get to throw the ball at each other, what's not to love?
