Big girl backpack

We did some school shopping yesterday afternoon, and the kids all got new backpacks. Brady has always loved the messenger style, so that's what he got. Avery liked the expensive ones with lots of padding. Chloe found several that she liked, but I could tell she was torn. Finally she said, "I want a big girl backpack. Not one with anyone on it." Now, I did say she couldn't have one with Hannah Montana, but other than that, I didn't care. At first she saw a tinkerbell and a princess backpack, both of which she wanted, but then she decided on a big girl one. The one she chose is really cute and girly, but I still can't get over what she said. She's in kindergarten people!! Next year she'll probably want an all black backpack!!
