Yesterday, I got a lot of laundry done, and I mean A LOT! I did some other cleaning around the house. But I'm not going to remember that years from now. What I will remember is playing with my kids. Chloe and I played with a bouncy ball. We bounced it back and forth for a while before she came up with a game. She made the rules, and changed them when she felt like it. We laughed and just had fun together. I wish I had played with her longer, instead of going back to cleaning. I love the simple joys of being a kid.
And later, after supper, I stood in the kitchen with all three kids, and practiced my evil laugh. I don't know why Avery was thinking of that, or why he asked me to do it too. But, I gave him my best evil laugh, and then we spent the next ten minutes or so listening to each other give it a try. I wish I had it on video, but maybe next time. It was hilarious! Every time Avery tried it, he would end up just laughing. Chloe even got in on the action, but only after listening to us for a few minutes. I think she might have thought we were all crazy, but she probably thinks that every day anyway! The next time you need a quick ab workout, gather your kids, or husband, or friends, and practice your evil laugh. It works. It will also make you a little hoarse if you do it long enough.
So, the moral of this story is...go play with your kids! Or at least go act like one for a few minutes!

I love it Elizabeth - how fun! Sometimes we all need to be reminded that the laundry will still be there when we're done playing...
How wonderful! Your kids will remember that forever! You are such a fun little mama!
