It's official, we're broke! :) We signed our life away this afternoon, but we now own this lovely tree house! It might be temporary housing if our house sells quickly. Seriously, this is our lot, and all those trees are ours! They might have to cut some down depending on where the house is on the lot. It's in our contract to keep as many as possible, if that means anything!! We are very excited, scared and nervous about the next few months. It's hard to believe that we're building a house. Now what we have to concentrate on is getting this house ready to sell. That doesn't sound like fun to me, but it has to be done.

Congratulations! That looks like a big lot and it's awesome that you'll at least have some trees on it. I know the feeling of signing your life away, but you guys will be fine. My best advice on getting your house ready is to get a storage unit. It has come in so handy for us to just get everything we're not using daily out of the house! Good luck with everything - Kelli
What a beautiful yard! Make the contractor explain WHY any trees need to be cut and then convince them otherwise. I know it is a scary time but the Stokes will survive! I have all kinds of faith in your family.
On TV they specify kitchen and bathrooms--get them neat, neutral, and updated!
Congratulations!!! That's so exciting! It's going to be so fun to see the house as it develops. It won't always seem fun, but it's an experience you'll never forget. :)
