This piano is my mom's. My grandparents gave it to her when she was a little girl. My granddaddy wanted me to have it, so it has been at my parents' house for a few years. It's always been special to me, and I'm honored to now have it my home. It was hard for me to accept it because that means my mom no longer has a piano in her house. That just didn't seem right to me, but I'm very excited to have it. I already love having it here, and the kids have really enjoyed it too. I can't wait to get back into playing. I haven't had a piano since I got married, and I've really missed it. I started taking lessons when I was five, and continued until I graduated high school. I'm not that great, but I enjoy it. I wish now I had taken it more seriously and practiced more. I sat down to play tonight and immediately thought of my piano teacher. I knew that if she were here, she would tell me that my nails were too long. It was just one of those things that really takes you back, and makes you smile.

The piano is so nice! I can't wait until we buy one, (years to come) Some great books for the kids, John Thompson's - Easiest Piano Course, I, II, III, IV, V they are for beginners so you could teach them! They make it so simple! Becca loves them. I am excited for you guys!
I am so excited for you. I know you have been wanting it. I think that is one of the first things you showed me in your new house, where the piano was going to go. You just didn't know then when you would get one.
I remember that piano very well. I now have the one mom and dad bought for me when we were in about fifth grade. We moved it over when we finally bought our own house. I'm sorry to say that I don't play it much, and I too wish I had taken it more seriously. I think Clark plays it as much as I do. Miss Haynes would tell me to practice. I never practiced like I should between lessons. She would be proud that I stay on my finger tips now. I think that comes with my job of typing on the computer all day. I know you and the kids will really enjoy having that piano.
