I've got something to say...

about the car rider line. I have started going pretty early to wait in line, for a couple of reasons. (by early I mean 30 minutes, not an hour or two) One, Chloe often falls asleep, which is the only nap she gets most days. Two, sometimes it's the only quiet "me" time,(if it qualifies as that), I get during the day. I usually have a magazine to read, or I just sit and listen to some music. Anyway, a couple of things have been driving me crazy lately, and I need to vent about it for a moment. I've noticed that a lot of people leave their car running the entire time they're waiting. That means it's running for at least 30 minutes. That's not what really bothers me though. Many of them also have their windows rolled down!! What's the point of keeping the car running, if you're not going to use the air conditioner?! It just doesn't make sense to me. You would think that the price of gas would encourage people to conserve, not to mention the affects on the environment. Okay, the second thing...I usually try to turn the van off and roll down my windows, but so many people are smoking that I can't always do that. Today I was talking to Keith on the phone, and decided to complain to him very loudly why I couldn't leave my windows down. It must have helped because I gave it another try, and I was able to breathe without inhaling smoke. Ah, I feel better now!

People leave the car running in our line too. It drives me nuts!!! It's such a waste of gas! I haven't gotten up the nerve to say anything yet...

UGHHH! I can not stand inconsiderate people who smoke in the car rider line! That drives me insane! And leaving your car running, who has the money for all that gas? The people behind us has 2 Hummer's. They always sit in the car rider line for 45 minutes and leave the Hummer running. I know they use lots of gas!

why not print up a flyer that estimates how much gas is wasted at your school alone per year? maybe the kids could take them home or walk around and pass them out so no one knows it is you.
