Just a few reasons why I'm blessed.

Here is a recap of my day yesterday.

Chloe and I go to the gym in Nashville to deliver a cake, and meet up with Renee.
I lock my keys and Chloe in the van.
They come to unlock my van for me, and charge me $100.
Go workout with Renee.
I head home, only to find out that the interstate I'm already on is closed ahead.
Thankfully Keith tells me a different route to take, so I avoid most of the traffic, and actually get on my way.
When I get home I notice a couple of calls from our security company, which completely freaks me out. When I go look at the keypad, there is a code on there, but I don't know what it is.
Keith finally gets a hold of someone at the security company, after they came back from lunch, and we find out they just downloaded some new software.
Now I relax.
I make supper, and we sit down to eat.
Keith discovers something unusual about the chicken enchiladas.
I check the cans, and discover that I used jalapeños, instead of chilies. Lovely.
We make it through dinner, with a little milk.
We treat ourselves to some ice cream.
We get ready for bed, and as I take my earrings off, one breaks.

Okay, so now for the part that explains why I think all of this means I'm blessed.

While Renee and I were outside waiting on someone to unlock the van, thankfully, it wasn't raining or storming. The weather wasn't too warm or too cold. Chloe wasn't upset at all that she was stuck in her seat in the van.
On the way to the gym, I cashed a cake check that was for exactly $100.
I was still able to workout.
On the drive home, I managed to avoid all the storms, and most of the rain.
I saw a plane flying very close to lightning. I was not on that plane, or any other for that matter.
Supper was still good, just a little spicier than usual.

Yesterday was just one of those days. It wasn't an awful day, but a little draining. I just kept reminding myself of how incredibly blessed I am. I'm so thankful for those reminders.

You have me laughing out loud as I am sitting here reading! I've had so many days like that, and goodness, what a difference it makes when we have a positive, godly attitude about our circumstances. We DO have so much to be thankful for, don't we, we are so blessed!

I'm going to have to catch-up on your blog now that we are FINALLY moved in and I have DSL again! Are you selling cakes? I saw something about 'cake check' in the blog, just curious!

Yes, we're blessed too. Now I'll stop being mad at the locksmith for ripping you off. :)
