Orthodontist

We were at the orthodontist bright and early on Monday morning. Why I scheduled an 8:00 appointment, I'll never know. Anyway, both of the boys had appointments that day. Avery's was just his normal checkup, but this was Brady's first time there. The dentist just recommended an evaluation. Thankfully, he doesn't need anything right now. I'm not sure we could handle two going through this at the same time! Anyway, Avery got a nice surprise. He got the lower appliance removed!! He was very excited about it. We go back in a couple of weeks to get something else put in. I think it's braces on the front four teeth on the bottom. They are all spaced out, so they're just going to bring them together while we wait for his adult teeth to all come in. Eventually he'll have full braces, but this is just temporary.
As a treat, I took the kids to Hardee's for breakfast afterward. I don't know if they were more excited about the food or getting to stay out of school a little bit longer! We were the only people there that didn't get a senior citizen discount!! It was actually really nice. The door was opened for me on the way in, and on the way out. People just don't always take the time to do that anymore.
