Keith drove by our new house yesterday, and they have actually started on the foundation!! It's so exciting! I'm very happy about where the house is going to sit on the lot. I had envisioned the house taking up more of the yard, and I wasn't sure exactly where it would be and how it would be turned. The way they have it, the trees are going to be right behind the house, and will be great shade. The patio will have shade too, which I'm very excited about. Keith took a picture, but it was with his phone, so it wasn't the best quality. Hopefully we'll get a better picture soon, and I'll put it on here.
This is our first time building a house, and it's already overwhelming! When we bought our current house it was brand new, but mostly finished. We only got to choose a couple of things. We were so drained Monday after choosing everything for the new house. Who knew that we would get to choose what color grout we want? I don't have a clue, but luckily we had a designer helping us. I just hope that if we picked something horrible, that she would tell us. Guess we'll see!! Anyway, it was fun, but Keith and I were so tired we could have gone to sleep at seven! I really think I'm still recovering! We still have to go back and choose lighting, which isn't going to be easy. I think I'm like a kid, too many choices are overwhelming, and I forget what I wanted in the first place! The hardest part about the lighting is going to be the budget. I hope we find what we like and it's within the allowance. So many decisions!

I am so excited for you! I noticed for the first time (because you told me about picking grout color) that the bathrooms at work have one grout color on the wall and another grout color on the floor. Interesting!
I bet the grout on the floor was darker than the one on the wall... so the floor won't look as dirty=)
I love decorating ... I miss doing that!
I'm so glad you like where the house sits. That's soo important!!
I'll look up the number for the place we bought all our light fixtures and get it to you. We saved a bunch!!
